News from Nic...
I'm excited to share some useful tips with you to help attract home buyers even during the holidays! While the thought of selling your home during the winter months may dampen your holiday spirit, the season has many advantages. In fact, holiday buyers tend to be more serious and competition is less aggressive with fewer homes on the market. Give your home a toasty, comfy makeover this Christmas with these tips to get buyers in the offer-making spirit.
Create a cozy vibe -When staging your home for the holidays, try to go with a "less-is-more" strategy. Add a few subtle touches such as an evergreen wreath or rosemary garlands, or a pot of cider simmering on the stove to create a warm and festive feeling in your home. Don't block or cover up important selling features in your home such as fireplace mantels, stained-glass windows, etc. Â

Go light on lights -
Tone down any garish light displays while your home is on the market. Alternatively, use simple string lighting to play up your home's architecture or draw attention to the gorgeous landscape in your front yard. Adding a couple lanterns with a candle on your porch and a festive doormat can set the mood.Â
Add Natural Elements -
Whether that be a real Christmas tree, trimmings from a Christmas tree throughout your mantel and other areas of the home, pine cones from outdoors, or swapping out current plants for beautiful Poinsettias . It will help pull everything together and make it feel more cozy. Displaying a bowl of pine cones or other wintry pieces of nature.Â

Remember Curb Appeal Counts-
With fall winding down, you've undoubtedly got some leaves in your yard and some cleanup to do. Bare trees and shrubs mean that aspects of your home that are typically not visible during other seasons are now front-and-center. A good strategy to test curb appeal is next time you arrive to your house, look at the house from the perspective of a potential buyer!
Picture Perfect Sells-
If you've taken all the steps above, you probably have a pretty good looking property on your hands, but you need to make sure the rest of the world can see it! Professional photography is an absolute must no matter the season. If you're concerned about gray skies in the winter, ask your Realtor and photographer about twilight photos which are guaranteed to make your home stand out amongst other listings!
Thankful & Blessed-Â
I would like to take a minute this holiday season to thank all of my dear clients, friends, and family for the wonderful friendships and support they've given me throughout the years. Real estate and design are passions of mine that I am truly blessed to share with everyone in my life. I wish you and your colleagues, friends, and families the very best this Holiday season and encourage you all to start thinking about your goals for the new year. As always, I'm here to help with any questions you may have and I look forward to continuing to serve you all!
